Nicolas Palacios-Prado, PhD, is Senior Scientist, Bioelectrics at Morphoceuticals. He has a decade of experience in the field of bioelectrical intercellular communication. Nicolas has spearheaded numerous research initiatives and is a recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute International Research Fellowship and the Grass Fellowship at the Marine Biological Laboratory. Known for his expertise in electrical synapse plasticity and gap junction channels, Nicolas has made significant strides in understanding the intricate bioelectric networks and their modulation. His skills in electrophysiology and fluorescence microscopy have been instrumental in advancing the knowledge in this complex area. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience and a MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and a BS in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
